Photographer

She has lived in Milan since 1989. In addition to her professional activity as a freelance photographer, she also pursues her work as an author. Since 1998 she has collaborated with the Istituto Europeo di Design as a lecturer in the Photography Department, offering courses in training and style, as well as practical/studio courses such as Personal Portfolio and Fashion Major. She also supervises students through to graduation as a thesis advisor.
Since 1994 she has worked in the field of still-life advertising photography, producing editorial content for numerous publications and collaborating with major companies in the fashion and furniture sectors. She was a featured speaker in the Advertising Photography section at the 6th edition of the Orvieto Fotografia Convention 2004.
Between 2013 and 2014 she created a fully analog photographic project for UniCredit titled Sketches of Milan, an authorial взгляд on the UniCredit Tower, which later became a photo book published by Skira Editore.
Her project Twenty Weights, please was included in the program dedicated to women’s talents by the Comune di Milano in 2021 and was published as an artist’s book by Boite Edizioni in 2022.
Sonia Marin made her debut with a traveling exhibition that led her to exhibit and sell her work at Copenhagen Visual Art in 1993, in Washington, and at the Ashuah Irvin Gallery in 1994, and at the Geneve Photographic Center and in Barcelona in 1995.
