Settimio Benedusi works as a professional photographer in Milan. He spent seven years, as the only Italian contributor, working for the international edition of Sports Illustrated, photographing on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
After this experience, he brought the concept to Italy, contributing to the launch of Sportweek Dreams and producing it exclusively over the past four years, photographing even more beautiful and exotic beaches. He uses the camera—sometimes even a simple iPhone—to tell stories. He is particularly proud of the stories he creates for Corriere della Sera, which twice a year, at Christmas and in mid-August, grants him a full page dedicated to photographic storytelling.
He has been a member of the Italian Journalists’ Association since 2000. He has held numerous workshops and has taught at the European Institute of Design in Milan. Thanks to Giovanni Gastel, whom he proudly considers a friend, he gave a master lecture at the Triennale di Milano dressed as Pinocchio. He is also a proud friend of Toni Thorimbert. He likes to describe himself as an “tester of moments.”
