LUISA MILANI
Visual designer

In 2005 she graduated in Communication Design from the Politecnico di Milano, and shortly afterward began working at the graphic design studio Leftloft, where she stayed for five years—confirming that graphic design is a passion before it is a profession.
In 2009, together with Walter Molteni, she founded La Tigre. In a short time, the studio established itself both internationally and nationally, working on projects for The New York Times, The Guardian, Wired, Süddeutsche Zeitung, IBM, Zucchi, Bassetti, Eni, Il Sole 24 Ore, Mondadori, and many others.
Alongside her professional work, she has been an assistant at the Politecnico di Milano and has led various workshops. In 2012 the studio was named Young Guns by the Art Directors Club of New York. In 2014 she oversaw the redesign of the logo for The Independent. In 2015 she received an award from the Type Directors Club, and in 2016 one of her projects was selected as a finalist by Society of Publication Designers.
In 2015, Luisa Milani began teaching at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Turin.
