In 2012, after winning the Talent 24×36 award with a photo reportage on the crisis of horse racing in Italy, at the age of twenty-five he became the first Leica Camera Brand Ambassador in Italy.
In 2013 he began a long-term project in South Africa focused on the new generations in post-apartheid townships, aiming to show the medium- and long-term effects of democracy in the most disadvantaged areas of the country. This project includes Staff Riding, which explores the phenomenon of train surfing in Johannesburg.
With this work he won 1st prize in the Short Feature category of the 2014 World Press Photo Multimedia Contest, the 2014 Emerging Scholarship Award from the Lucie Foundation in Los Angeles, was selected by Magnum Photos for the 30Under30 in Birmingham, and was nominated for the Joop Swart Masterclass.
His photographs have appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic USA, D di Repubblica, and Rolling Stone Italia. His clients include Samsung, Mercedes-Benz, and Ferragamo. His images are distributed by the LUZphoto agency. When he is not traveling around the world, he lives in Milan.
