An illustrator and visual designer based in Milan, she spent ten years working as an art director in advertising agencies before deciding to specialize in illustration and visual design. Her passion for mark-making is expressed through a variety of styles, ranging from realistic drawing to abstract synthesis and hand lettering.
She adopts different techniques depending on the project she is working on, demonstrating great versatility. Her works have been published in editorial and advertising contexts, both in Italy and abroad, and have received numerous awards from the Associazione Italiana Illustratori, the Art Directors Club Italiano and European Art Directors Club, Hiii Illustration, Association of Illustrators, and the 3×3 International Illustration Annual.
In addition, Marcella teaches illustration at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Genova and organizes illustration workshops in Milan.
