FRANCESCO RADINO
Photographer

Born in 1947 in Bagno a Ripoli, Florence, to parents who were both painters. After studying Sociology, in 1970 he became a professional photographer, choosing to work across various fields, from industrial photography to design, architecture, and landscape.
He has always combined professional work with artistic research and has been actively involved in the development of contemporary landscape photography. Starting from the 1980s, he participated in numerous public research projects on territory and landscape for institutions such as the Provincia di Milano, Regione Lombardia, Eu Japan Fest, the Ministero della Cultura, and the Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea at Villa Ghirlanda.
Over the years, he has developed a free and personal way of exploring reality that goes beyond the landscape genre, opening up to every aspect of the world—from nature to urbanized territories, from the human figure to objects, from animals to artifacts of human history.
He has exhibited his work in galleries and museums across Italy, Europe, Japan, and the United States, and his works are part of international public and private collections. More recently, he has also explored the medium of video. Today, he is considered one of the most influential figures in contemporary photography in Italy.
