He is one of the most original Italian architects and designers of his generation. For over thirty years, he has combined design practice with intense research and teaching activity. As a designer, he has worked with numerous Italian companies, including Alias, Artemide, Poliform, and Flou.
In 2005 he founded Blumerandfriends, a working group through which he creates installations and both permanent and temporary exhibition designs in various museums in Italy and abroad.
He has held teaching positions at several universities, including IUAV University of Venice, the European Institute of Design (IED), the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan, and Madworkshop in Santa Monica (California). In 2013 he became full professor at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, where he served as director from 2016 to 2021.
