At a very young age, he took his first steps in photography by shooting dance and theater stage photography. In the following years, he established himself as a fashion, backstage, and celebrity photographer, becoming the official photographer for major Italian fashion designers.
In 1998, he founded his agency, SGP Stefano Guindani Photo, which combines editorial production with services for companies in the fashion and luxury sectors. Today, the SGP team consists of around thirty people.
At the same time, Guindani has developed a strong interest in social reportage, undertaking numerous trips to China and South America, particularly Haiti.
In 2014, he became the first photographer to host a television talent show dedicated to photography: Scattastorie NX Generation, broadcast on Real Time (Discovery channel), where he has served in various roles as author, host, coach, and judge.
In 2015, he published two books: Frames of Milano, a reportage commissioned by Samsung on the new architecture of Porta Nuova, and Do You Know?, published by Skira and promoted by Fondazione Rava, a survey across nine South American countries exploring the reality of homes for children in difficulty.
