MARC SADLER
Designer

A French designer born in Austria, Marc Sadler has lived and worked as an industrial designer in France, the United States, Asia, and Italy. Among the first graduates in Industrial Aesthetics at the ENSAD, with a thesis on plastics, he was a pioneer in experimenting with materials and cross-technological innovation—elements that have become distinctive features of his work.
In the early 1970s, he developed the first fully recyclable thermoplastic ski boot, industrialized by the Italian company Caber (later becoming Lotto Sport Italia). Today, thanks to his eclectic approach, he works as a consultant for companies across various industrial sectors.
He has won the Compasso d’Oro ADI four times (1994, 2001, 2008, and 2014), and his work has received numerous international awards and recognitions. The back protector designed for Dainese is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Mite lamp for Foscarini is included in the design collection of the Centre Pompidou.
He is passionate about painting and drawing, to which he is deeply emotionally connected, considering them his most authentic interests. He lives in Milan.
