Born in 1953, Gianpietro Vigorelli is one of the leading figures in Italian advertising over the past decades, having held top positions in some of the most important and creative agencies, both independent and multinational.
In 1987 he became Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi. In 1994 he joined Young & Rubicam, where he produced television commercials for Barilla with directors such as John Landis.
In 1997, together with Maurizio D’Adda, he co-authored the 1997 edition of the Festival di Sanremo 1997. In the same year, with Maurizio D’Adda and Riccardo Lorenzini, he founded his own advertising agency: D’Adda, Lorenzini, Vigorelli.
In 2000 he became Vice President and Creative Director of BBDO through the merger of his agency with BBDO Italy. As a director, he created advertising campaigns for Danone, Philips, Pirelli, Renault, Motta, Pupa Milano, Barilla, and Tè Ati.
In 2010 he left the presidency of BBDO to work as a consultant, focusing on promoting Italian and international brands on a global scale. His first job was as a lithographer.
