Walter Angonese graduated in architecture from IUAV University of Venice. He has taught at the University of Innsbruck and has been a visiting professor in various European cities. He worked as an inspector for the Superintendency of Fine Arts and has been a member of several institutions and boards, including the Landscape Advisory Board of South Tyrol and the Board of the Museion Foundation in Bolzano.
In 2001 he founded his professional studio in Caldaro (BZ), receiving awards and recognition for his projects. In 2016 a monograph on his work was published, and in 2018 he participated in the Venice Architecture Biennale.
Since September 1, 2021 he has been Director of the Academy of Architecture at the University of Italian Switzerland in Mendrisio, where he has been Full Professor of Architectural Design since 2011.
